joint, clean and remove dust from the walls with
a brush. Apply adhesive with a brush to both
sides of the joint and then insert the strip. 1.4 kg
silicate adhesive (for approximately 24 m of strip)

FIRE STOP ROPES
VERTICAL JOINT
Expansion joints are spaces left empty to allow structures tomove for various
reasons (concrete shrinkage, variations in temperature, environment, etc.).
To prevent flames from spreading in empty spaces in the event of a fire, these
spaces must be filled with fire barrier materials.
Such products must have been tested in accordance with European standards
EN 1366-4 and EN 13501-2 for fire resistance performance of up to 4 hours.
Fire barrier treatment may be required in any type of building, particularly
those open to the public (hospitals, stations, airports, stadia, hotels, offices, etc.)
Rock wool bands surrounded by a glass fibre grid.
- 4-hour fire barrier
- Tested and officially approved (Certificate no. RS14077 dated 17/03/2015)
- Rope diameter to be chosen according to the joint opening (rope diameter
= joint opening x 1.5)
Fire barrier configuration also approved with an aluminium joint cover fitted
over it.
Flexible profiles in nitrile PVC, for embedding wit-
hout gluing, for making vertical joints quickly and
economically (walls, facades).
Tension movement: up to 20%
Compressibility: up to 80%
