MOISTURE MEASUREMENT
«CCM2» CALCIUM CARBIDE
TESTER KIT
For precise moisture level measure-
ment. Supplied with plastic case and
spring balance, sampling instruments,
4 steel balls, 20 calcium carbide vials,
1 pressure vessel with manometer and
3 water vials.
MEASURING BY SAMPLING :
How it works :

The material to be measured will be
sampled ( min. 50g). Use the hammer
and chisel. Grind and weigh the sample.
2 Put the steel balls, the sampled material
and one calcium carbide vial in the
vessel.

Close and shake the vessel. The balls will
break the vial and the calcium carbide
will interact with the water within the
sample.
4 After approx. 20 min., the dial pointer
will indicate the respective pressure.

Pressure interpretation. Direct reading.
E. g.: if 50 g weighed. Moisture level
xpressed in percentages can be read
directly on the green scale.

MEASURING BY
HYDROMETRIC

How it works :

Drill a 50 mm deep, Ø 16 mm hole in the
support.

Insert immediately humidity sleeve and
top.
3
24 hours later, take off the top and insert
the probe plugged to the Hygromaster.

If the reading < 85 %, whatever the
material may be, the support is
considered to be dry.
